1st Responders Luncheon

Appreciation week Pastor Moses and his team fired up the grill to kick off our 1st Responder’s Appreciation luncheon of the year. The word is spreading and people are joining the community. This was the biggest and best appreciation lunch yet – we set a record! We had more community and police than ever before. In attendance for the first time, we had:

  • Clergy on Patrol,
  • FBI special agent,
  • GR’s City Attorney,
  • County Commissioner,
  • GR Police Vice team,
  • New pastors,
  • New business owners…

And that as well as our regulars, Chief, Deputy Chiefs, Homeland Security and many more!

“We don’t like to say we need it but wow we are so thankful for this and it does make a difference.” – MSP Officer

Relationships are made, trust is built, and together we are making our city better.

Kentwood Police Department Lunch n Learn

“There’s absolutely nothing more important and impactful than having our community support us” Kentwood Police Chief Roberts.

This is just what happened at the iCI Lunch n Learn at Kentwood Police Department!

With Olive Garden cuisine offered, Police and community came together to hear from Chief Roberts and Chaplain Mike on how together we can make a strong community. Chief Roberts shared how grateful he and his officers are for the support their community shows them and the impact it can have! We also learned what Police Officers have to deal with on a daily basis while managing their families, church, sports,….just like us!

ALL the officers expressed gratitude for iCI events like this, meeting them where they are at and building relationships. Thank you everyone who came out and connected because it is strengthening our city!!

Grand Rapids Unity Walk

The Unity Walk was a great experience for me orchestrated by Officer Javon and community Pastors. I personally have never been to a unity walk or protested for anything I believe in, so being apart of history made me excited for the future. I also have never witnessed local law enforcement officials being so involved in their community and want to see change as well. Overall it was great to see people from different walks of life joining together and having the same vision. Wood tv 8 also gave a great segment of the event and using their platform to spread awareness to Grand Rapids. I can’t wait to see what the future holds there is still a lot to be done but this is only the beginning.
